Just the other day, for some reason his name slipped my lips in a totally unrelated conversation: his phone was forever off and I just assumed he was off somewhere on a residency or something, thinking ah well, one of these days we'd make contact by chance and have coffee, a chat and always a laugh. I have been thinking of popping by the Bag Factory and haven't....maybe that's a good thing as it would have been awful to pitch up and ask after him and be told he'd died. I wish I had at least been able to pay my last respects....but it's done. Any idea what happened? He always seemed so resilient. I am just so sad to hear of Dinkies death.
